I'm going to work in USA as a Nurse and planning to get a work visa. Is it required to have background check before getting a work visa? How long does it takes? And do you know any free background check online such as backgroundpi.com?

I'm a nurse who came to the US to work as a nurse. I didn't have a background check per se, but did go through the checks needed to get my RN license.

You need to have your license in the state you will work before you get a job and you likely need to have your CGFNS done first to get your license (that depends on the state and where you are from).

I needed my CGFNS VisaScreen certificate to get my visa too.
