On 10/21 we submitted the choice of agent information and as of 11/5 the AOS fee has been paid but I'm still not able to pay the IV Fee. When can I expect this to show up in the system? Based on the State Department's website, I'm not supposed to send any paperwork in until both have been paid and I'm just getting a little anxious.

Thanks for any help!

I paid the AOS fee and did the choice of agent on July 15th and the IV fee did not come up as being available to pay until Sept. 17th! :ranting:

I sent in my AOS packet as soon as I paid and got the confirmation barcode page to send with it. I waited to send the IV package until I paid the fee but others say that you can send the AOS and IV packet together with the one barcoded page. I cannot confirm if that is true or not though.

I'm helping out a friend of mine with his I-130 (post approval) process for his daughter. The IV fee became available for him about 2-3 weeks after the AOS fee was paid and choice of agent form was completed. I know for sure it was under 1 month. He submitted the AOS requested documentation after the NVC website showed the fee as paid and receipt was made available. He will submit the remaining IV documentation after he pays the IV fee.

We followed the instructions on the NVC website which said to submit the AOS documentation after the fee is paid. I know some say it's better to send all together at once, but we followed what the website said. That's why he's mailing them in 2 parts. I don't think they will penalize you if you send the AOS documentation along first.

Thanks everyone - it's just so confusing since it seems like they just changed procedures as the State Department site says to pay both fees first before submitting paperwork.

Hi! I waited for about two weeks for the IV invoice, and then sent all the docs after the payment cleared because that is when they release the DS-260. Are you using EP or snail mail? So far I have found EP to be better than I first heard. They seem to acknowledge receipt in around the two week mark.

Hope all goes well for you. Good luck on your journey through NVC! :)

That's good. My friend paid the IV fee for his daughter this past Wednesday. He will soon mail the additional documentation. I pray the rest of your case has a speedy turnaround.
