DS-260 Question

Hi all,

A quick question regarding form ds-260, I was looking at the sample form so I knew what I'd need from my husband to fill it out.

There's a question that asks if the applicant is a foreign medical graduate and seeking to perform medical services in US but have not yet passed th National Boards o Examiners examination or its equivalent?

My husband is a doctor and he does intent to take his board exams here to practice medicine in US as well. Should we mark yes or no to this question? If we say yes, we need to give an explanation but if we say no, then will it impact the process?

Just wondering what's the best way to answer this? Or are they asking if the sole purpose of immigration is to practice medicine in US?

I would answer truthfully. Yes he wants to practice, no he hasn't taken the board certs, yes he will take them.

So the answer is Yes and I'm sure there is an spot for explanation.

Yes there is. Which is why I was confused if they're talking about whether the sole purpose of his immigration is to practice medicine here. Which isn't. Hes moving here because that's where I live and work.

Well the DS-260 is a multipurpose form but always answer it from the point of the visa which he is trying to obtain. He isn't coming for that reason, but he does want to practice medicine in the USA.
