Hi Guys

We are about to send off the I-129F package and have a few questions that you may be able to answer:

1. I noticed that there are two address to file the form at. Which address do most people choose to file the form at?

2. My fiance and I have been together for just over 4 years and we can definately satisfy the requirement of meeting (we have lived together for a year) and we have been going back and fourth to each other, however our only concern in relation to showing proof of relationship is not having a record of text messages, phone calls etc. We communicate via facetime, and we text everyday its just that we dont keep records of our texts? So what we have to provide to USCIS is plenty of photographs from over the years, copies of flight itineries and possibly copies of all boarding passes, and some emails. Will this be okay? Or should we also both get letters from family members confirming our relationship?

3. I have confused myself at Part 3 Other Information question 4, where it asks which waiver applies? If my fiance (the petitioner) has never been convicted by a court of law and has never filed for a k-1 does he need to tick 'Not applicable, beneficiary is my spouse'? Or as that question does not apply to him does he just leave that quesion blank? Sorry if that is stupid question just want to make sure we are reading everything right.

Appreciate any assistance you guys can give

Welcome to the forum.

You are to use the address applicable to the method of delivery that you choose. The PO

Box address is for USPS use (courier services don't deliver to PO Boxes). The other is for courier services, such as, UPS, FedEx, etc.

http://www.uscis.gov/i-129f-addresses

For us, and a lot of others, and as is recommended by VJ, use USPS with "return receipt requested/delivery confirmation."

YMMV,

Good luck on your immigration journey.

2. You can accumulate some other means of communication such as skype or yahoo or a phone application that you can print the detailed itemized

call logs/texts from (name/date/number called). Letters of friends and family attesting to your bona fide relationship are also good in addition to the other items

you mentioned.

3. He can NOT tick "not applicable, he is my spouse" because he is NOT your spouse, he is your fiance.

The instructions of the form tell you to : If an item is not applicable or the answer is “none,” leave the space blank.

Use whatever evidence you have. You can also write a letter explaining how you communicate and your lack of more call records/emails.

The affidavits from friends and relatives are good too. Whatever you can get your hands on that proves you have an ongoing relationship.

This does not constitute legal advice.

going forward you may want to use skype or yahoo to create a record of messages.

my fiance will take with her a printed out text of our messages on skype for the last 7 months to the interview. It is 8 point font with zero line spacing and and 1/4 inch margins. not really meant to be read but to be shown... evidence. I don't want to give them any reason to deny. If they choose to read they may but they will need their glasses. lol!

Thats a really good idea! I might just have to start taking screenshots of our text messages through imessage and even screenshots of us facetiming haha
