It is been 9 months since filing now! At the latest status update on processing for Baltimore per end of September they state that they're working on MARCH applications. WHich is already a month AFTER I filed and it is NOVEMBER now.

I am completely fed up with those guys. Filed a case inquiry, but am not hopeful it'll help.

Wanted to fly "home" for xmas and see my folks for the first time since I got here a year ago.....but it is very unlikely that it'll be possible. Meanwhile it would also be too late for an advance parole. THANK YOU VERY MUCH USCIS

I'm in the same situation with you, my field office is Buffalo, NY. Got a letter for potential interview waver in June, as well. Frustrating, I know. The letter that you got in June, was it an official letter for an interview waiver, or did it say that your interview may be waived, or something along those lines?

Hey Steve and Hazel the letter stated "potential weaiver". Have filed a complaint two weeks ago...

Not been waiting as long as you but I got the Waiver letter at the end of July and heard NOTHING since, it's an absolute joke and like yourself I was thinking of flying home this christmas but won't be able to now, I didn't even bother applying for AP when I applied for EAD as I figured I'd have my Green Card around this time anyway..

It is MORE than 10 months now, and NO change at all! I filed an inquiry. Got a letter that stated all was fine, approx another 40 days. That was a month ago. I am TRULY tired of waiting and I ask myself, what these guys and girls at the B'more office are doing all day?? It all appears so very unprofessional. I mean it. And if it REALLY is the case, as one poster wrote here, that those who got married after overstaying their tourist visa (btw a federal crime!!!) are being handled BEFORE those who did everything LEGAL and correct, I get even more angry. This is NOT the way it should be. Rewarding miscunduct? Seriously.....???

Nope, in the letter back then it stated "potential waiver". Next and last thing I heard was the letter from Nov24th, after my new inquiry, with the announcement, that within 45 days I would have notice of approval or denial. These 45 passed last Friday. So I called again (still TRYING to stay friendly and calm). All they said was, that they will start a new inquiry and that I should hear from them around Jan 30. It is really getting on my nerves. We are close to ONE YEAR for processing an AOS!?!??!?! Sounds like a Banana Republic to me....not like one of the most modern and organzied Nations in the world. I find it very scrupulous.

All of us have had a looooong and unpleasent journey with this LEGAL immigration process. They are always quick with requests, taking our money. But not in shape to deliver the service they are paid for. It is simply not logical...the whole thing. If they are understocked with workforce, they should hire more people. Or be upfront and tell us..."hey guys...this process takes up to 12 months or more". I am only angry because I have been promised new timeframes repeatedly, simply to find them passing again and again.
