Got GUZ#.

Right now the case in "Administrative Processing". "Case Creation Date" is 22-OCT-2014. "Status Update Date" stop updating on 29-OCT-2014. Since then already one week has passed, but my fiancee has not gotten P3 yet. Anyone know if there anything wrong to result in this?

who should we ask about this?

i dont think there is a problem. they are always going to be slow...

if you have your guz# why not fill in DS-160 go to https://ceac.state.gov/ceac/

after ds 160 is done print confirmation

this is cgi stanley they manage things for consulate

then http://www.ustraveldocs.com/cn/index.html?firstTime=Noto pay fee

funny thing is i-129f is nonimmigrant visa at cgi stanley you become immigrant

then you can make appointment at consulate (careful now are you ready)

with appointment letter you can make appointment for medical exam.

then you can catch your breath and get ready for interview... you have all your papers?

Since the case created date is only 22 October, i'm going to guess that 29 October is the date it was sent from the NVC to the embassy, and that they haven't received it yet. No need to worry just yet...

Don't know which embassy GUZ is, but I'd only start worrying if nothing happens by the end of next week.

*** Country-specific thread moved from K-1 Process forum to the China regional subforum. ***

06-04-2007 = TSC stamps postal return-receipt for I-129f.

06-11-2007 = NOA1 date (unknown to me).

07-20-2007 = Phoned Immigration Officer; got WAC#; where's NOA1?

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

01-09-2008 = File from USCIS to NVC, 1-4-08; NVC creates file, 1/15/08; to consulate 1/16/08.

01-23-2008 = Consulate gets file; outdated Packet 4 mailed to fiancee 1/27/08; rec'd 3/3/08.

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).

Welcome to the forum.

Suggest that you follow the advice of fellow veterans of the GUZ, the consulate can have some interesting twists in the visa process, specific for GUZ only. Check out the GUZ embassy (consulate) page at the Embassy Info button at the top of the forum page. Check out some recent threads in the China Regional Forum.

When you get a chance, :time: It helps everyone that uses the forum, or is helped by the forum.

Good luck on your immigration journey.

if it flipped from 'ready' to administrative processing,

and

you are certain it left NVC (caused you called them to confirm this)

then

it's quite possible GUZ IV has opened the casefile and has started the next round of background checks.

back at ustraveldocs.com/cn

if

the visa fee paid, ds-160 submitted,

then

she can self-schedule the appointment online.

p4 not arrive until the beneficiary sets the appointment.

i hope you are not erroneously 'awaiting' the p4, really !

on the blue sheet, only wrote "administrative processing" , no other material checked.

my major is physical chemistry. the VO asked my major, i thought that what is my experiment when I was in school. so I answered it is nano- materials. She repeated my answer. I said " yes"

she did not take my passort. she told me this will take one month.

OK - so for now - they not want additional paperwork, just need to do some further research for something [unsure what].

For now, make a new log book, check CEAC each day - monitoring:

1. status

2. date / time status issued

3. wording if more than 10 words.

let us know when it changes, even if it's only a date/time change.

Dec 8, I got interview in guangzhou.

the result is I got blue sheet with "adminstrative processing " on, no need provide the addtional materials.

so far I still not figure out where is wrong. might be because I wrongly answered my experiemnt topic to her question about my major.

is there anyone who have ever met this ?

how long does it take?

what should I do?
