Awesome, HOPEFULLY we should get our email tomorrow then, that would be great!!! (CEAC said "issued" today)

To London Embassy members-

We just received the email from the Embassy that the courier is dispatched! I was able to track the package and it's our for delivery for tomorrow November 5th. Our interview was on November 3rd. So they are moving FAST.

Email came from: (donotreply@usvisa-info.com)

Subject: U.S. DoS Visa system return travel document shipment notice

As @stackeria noted to me earlier here is info. with regards to actually tracking the package -->> The tracking link in the email was of course broken... But from that page you can select tracking, enter your tracking number, select "UK", and enter your post code. By "tracking" they mean it will state the expected day of delivery and then it will state when it has been delivered.

Only one last step left... paying the $165 USCIS fee.

Cheers everyone and have a lovely evening!

Timeline

We got our interview date! It is December 29th. I'm thrilled to have the date, but I was really hoping for an earlier one - both because I was hoping we would be able to get to the States before Christmas & because having to go to Tokyo around New Year's is so expensive.(ToT)So! I will be contacting the embassy as soon as possible to hopefully get an earlier date. Please wish me luck!

Congratulations.

congratulations!!!! do you have any idea why the people ahead of you were rejected? do you know if they were also applying for IR-1 VISA?

I was not quite sure exactly what type of visa they were applying for as I was not able to hear that well.

But when the CO asked a guy "when the last time he was in the U.S. and what he was doing", he seemed to have had some problem answering such questions. Maybe there were some other problems but I don't know. After that, I heard the CO say she couldn't approve it or something, the guy left with his unhappy face...

@dwheels76

Can you let me know if there is another thread on VJ for POE and or beyond POE? I really have enjoyed the format of VJ how there is threads for each step of the CR-1 process. Thank you.

I am slightly confused now with the interview just being 1 week away

I read someone's interview review from yesterday (for Frankfurt, also CR-1) and he mentioned that he had to bring a large envelope with prepaid postage, so the visa documents would be sent back to him.

But I registered on ustraveldocs last week and it said this in the overview: "You do not have to pay for this free delivery service; no extra fees are associated with this service."

I am kinda clueless right now. Does anyone know if the embassies got rid of the prepaid postage requirement? It's not mentioned in the current interview checklist (Aug 2014) anymore.

Oh my, I can't for these sudden panic attacks about the interview to be over :bonk:

I am not sure if the embassy in Frankfurt is the same but at least in Paris, they changed the system and I was told today at the embassy in Paris that I did not have to buy a prepared envelop but instead resister the mailing address online. I paid 26 euro for nothing.

You may want to double-check with the embassy in Germany.

Does anyone know when they will stop scheduling December interviews. We got our CC on 30th Oct and no news yet. An NVC rep did tell me yesterday that Sydney is wide open but not sure if he actually has access to that information.

If the embassies still have slots some still are scheduling. Some are full.

October 21 CC is the last I have on list with a December interview. So have no idea if they are still scheduling or full.

vsexy, i am on the same boat as you, cc 9.30, interview 12.16, want to move to earlier date.

Could you share the email address, i found the link here http://london.usembassy.gov/niv/visa_contact_form.html, not sure if this is the correct one, also do u mind sharing how long it took london embassy to reply back?

Many thanks.

Hi, yeah that's the correct link.

Select the second option. Don't forget to write your case number.

I completed the form last friday afternoon, and they replied on monday morning. Not bad.

Is it weird that we got our P4 email but still haven't gotten our case complete email? CC Oct 25

Not weird at all it happens. Also case complete email doesn't go out until 7 days after. its only been 6 days so you may get it. Kind of a moot point since you have a interview.

dwheels,

I received an email yesterday with interview appointment letter. My wife is required to take following documents with her to the interview:

You must bring the following items to the visa interview:

Any original documents the NVC requested that you did not submit (refer to the document list below)

If the physician gives you your medical exam results, bring them to your interview in the envelope sealed

by the medical office.

Two passport photographs measuring 2 inches by 2 inches (5 cm by 5 cm) with a white background

A valid unexpired passport

Photocopies of all civil documents

A new police certificate from your current country of residence, if you obtained the police certificate more than one year ago.

Any additional documents listed in the U.S. Embassy or Consulate specific interview guidelines

We obtained police certificate in August this year so it will be only 4 months which means she doesn't have to take a new police certificate. Just wanted to double check and NVC already has original police certificate which will be forwarded to consulate.

Another question, my wife does not have any vaccination record so she will be getting them for the first time during her medical. I was reading somewhere that you need 2 doses of certain vaccines. I hope she won't be put in AP for not having 2 doses of vaccines. HAve you seen cases where they got the vaccinations for the first time during their medical and put into AP?

Please advise. Thank you.

There's no shot AP. The two doses is up to her some don;t get a HEP A and B optional and some get 2nd does when they get to US.

You don't need to bring anything listed since you already supplied to NVC. Just bring passport pics for sure and medical and any other evidence (pictures, pictures pictures.)

My ceac status updated date changed to Nov 5. Which means my case file was touched. I wonder what was updated or imputed in my case. Any idea from anyone?

What ever they are checking out, investigating. Remember they are preparing for an interview just like you are. Reading your evidence maybe checking your Facebook, emails, call logs, place of employment. Since its Lagos maybe sending field investigators out. It's a lot they are doing. That's how they get their questions to ask. That's why no two cases are alike.

Nothing to worry about just prep work for them.
