Hello VJ peeps!

I just would like to hear, if anyone of you here is kind enough to share, some stories of friends, relatives, or anyone who went for the interview at the US Embassy under the EB3 category (Employment-Based petition) as an RN/Nurse with very minimal experience BUT with complete requirements to obtain an immigrant visa - such as valid employment offer, visascreen, NCLEX, etc.

How did the interview go? Did the consul make an issue of the lack of nursing experience? Things like that.

Looking forward to your replies :-)

Thank you so much in advance.

Do you find a hospital or company in the USA that is going/willing to sponsor you?

I had heard that very few if any RN's were getting work Visas in USA since there are states like California where nurses are having a hard time finding work.

You might go to AllNurses and post in the International Section your questions if you can't find the answers you are looking for here

It's not a work visa but an employment based immigrant petition. Yes I still have a willing petitioner/employer.

My only concern is during the embassy interview actually. Someone might be able to share.

Thank you for your reply! :)

As long as you have what is required by the embassy you should have no issues.

I really think you should calm down some and not stress out. As long as you have what is required then you will be fine so don't worry.

Understand worries ... comes with the visa chase ;)

Do you have this?  (along with everything else listed in the embassy instructions letter. I gave you the link earlier)

Download Form I-134 at http://www.uscis.gov/portal/site/uscis.

Notarized Confirmation of Job Offer and Salary for employment–based applicants should be on the stationery of the employer’s business organization and it must have been issued less than one year prior to the visa application.

Yes ..i have everything including medical and original of all docs and copies... ds confirmation etc... what worries me is i wonder how uscis approved me in first place knowing that i have no experience and no license from my home country. On their websitedit states that both of these are requirements. But i got approved anyway ! I have only US rn license.

Don't sit and  worry yourself sick on this.  Keep a positive attitude for when you go to the interview.

If you would like to know if someone is still active you can click on their picture and it will take you to the page where it states the last time they were on VJ. There is a very good chance that if you are asking a question on a thread that was alive with activity back a few years, chances are really good that they will not be here to answer your reply. Best to start your own thread and ask your question and if someone knows the answer they will certainly respond.
