Hello there forum, I've been following this forum on my immigration journey and I have a question for anyone who is able to answer me. I submitted all my docs to USCIS and since my initial processing date I've got several RFE 4 to be exact. My last RFE they wanted my sponsor's 1040 and that was the only thing requested on the sheet of paper. I got it and mailed it off in a week. A week passed and they approved my EAD now I'm feeling confident I will get my AOS approved but 2 days after they approved my EAD they requested another RFE has this ever happened to anyone and if so was it something serious or minor? Why would they not make sure they asked for everything they would need at once opposed to asking on different intervals, and could the RFE be a interview appointment? I haven't physically received the RFE so Im just trying to get an idea of what they could want. Thanks in advance.

What are you adjusting from???

Most RFE's at this point are in reference to I-864. Did you send in the same information for the co-sponsor as yourself? Tax transcripts, W-2's, payroll stubs, proof of legal status.

EAD and AOS are treated as two separate applications, so your approval for EAD is not reflective of an approval of AOS.

I'm adjusting from a student visa (overstay). I get that EADs and AOS don't process the same but I applied for my EAD since May and just got it in October, but had several RFEs in that time period and when I inquired about my EAD back in July they told me I need to submit my RFE first because both cases were put on hold because of the request.
