I'm trying to complete the G-325A form and on the top right hand side, they are asking for a File Number starting with A ________. First I thought its the alien registration number. But then, at the very end of the form, bottom right, they specifically ask for the Alien Registration Number. Now, not sure what they are asking for File Number? Please help!

They are asking for beneficiary's Alien registration number. If the beneficiary has never been issued any type of US visa, then the beneficiary does not have one. If this is the case, fill in the blank by entering the word "none." Do not leave anything blank.

For beneficiary, leave it blank. Alien Number is assigned for beneficiary during processing I-129F. If the petitioner is US citizen-naturalized, you can find it on NOA-2 hardcopy.

I don't think you supposed to write "none" unless the instruction says so. I had leave blank on forms that did not ask to write "none". For OP, please read the instruction carefully.

Ok . I'm a naturalized citizen, do I put my Alien registration number as the File number? I understand that my fiancé will not have a file number or alien registration number so hers is blank.

I also watched some You Tube videos on how to complete this form. Some say, leave it blank and some say put your Alien Registration Number. I'm guessing that its blank for US born citizens because they don't have an Alien Registration Number but for Naturalized Citizens like myself, I have one.

I just found it strange that they will ask for the same information twice on the a form. Thanks for the feed back guys.

I know that your Alien Registration Number is in the Certificate of Naturalization. If you were born in the Philippines and now a US citizen, then you have a Certificate of Naturalization. It's a very important document so if you can't find it, I suggest you contact someone from USCIS office and I'm sure they can help you obtain a copy. Good Luck!
