Can Anyone Please Clarify?

Hi all,

We are filing for the I-751 next month, and are uncertain of a few things that we hope can be clarified by the community here.

1. We moved over one year ago to a new address (in a neighboring state), but were unaware that USCIS gives a limited time for notifying them through the AR-11 and I-865. We are filing those immediately now, but are worried about how this will affect us during the removal of conditions. Any advice on this matter?

2. My husband's passport expired while on his two-year conditional residency and has not been renewed yet. Does this have any effect on the I-751?

3. My only form of valid identity is my US passport. I do not have any personal IDs currently that reflect our new address, so the only things tying my name to our address are bills, bank account statements, and my W2's. Will that be enough?

4. Do we need to include a copy of our marriage certificate with the I-751?

I apologize for all the questions, but I would be immensely grateful for any input that you can provide during this stressful time.

Many thanks!

-M

Thank you for the responses.

My parents/family still live at the old address on my driver's license and as I do not own or drive any vehicles, it did not seem a pressing issue to have my license immediately updated at the time. Unfortunately, that meant it slipped through the cracks. As my driver license recently expired, however, I am in the process of having it renewed with our current address--I just wanted to know how much of an issue it would be for the I-751 if I do not receive my new license by the time we sent in the filing.

It's not an issue. If you didn't get it on time don't include it. It's not mandatory to send IDs, but people send them if they have a matching address to show another proof of living together Edited by DC85
