Im Singaporean and I have received my packet 3 with the checklist to fulfill. I will be obtaining my Singapore Police Certificate of Clearance this coming week but I have to obtain one from Bangkok as I had resided there for a year. Could anyone advise if the Thai Embassy in Sg will be able to provide me an alternative (if I am not wrong, a statutory of declaration, which takes a much shorter time and probably costs a little bit more) rather than sending documents over to the Royal Thai Police in Bkk for processing?

The Singapore and Thai postal service can not be trusted much as I have had mails missing in the past before so Im just worried that my documents will be lost and thus making me wait even longer!

Appreciate any advice i can get.

It will take 10 days to get your Singapore COC once you apply, call the Thai Embassy and find out what they need from you to get your Police Clearence.

Apply for the Singapore COC in person and pick up the Singapore COC in person in 10 days, my wife just did this, naturally in you let them mail it to you, it's going to take a few more days.

Yes if you're a singaporean you can get it done in 10 working days but if your not its 21 working days cuz my wife is waiting on her clearance to be processed right now

 it is 15 working days for non citizens (i.e. 3 weeks or 21 days). Add additional days for postage, if you are not picking it up in person.

Flying to Seattle on 6 May 2014!
