Hi everyone! USCIS sent me an email saying they need more evidence. When I called them, they said that they sent a I -797 form and to wait. After searching the internet, i saw that i-797 form is an approval notice. Has this ever happened to anyone? A million thanks!

Thank you! That was my intial thought! I am hoping it is an error and that I am approved. Have a great day!

Did you send in all required papers, documents and evidence?

Here is the uscis page on explanation on the various I-797.

Hi first I would like to ask when did you file your waiver?.I filed mine on April 8 2014 and received a what my lawyer calls boiler plate rfe which is sort of like to put us on hold so they can process older waivers.I received my rfe on July 26.I sent my response on Aug 26 and they sent me a letter saying I should receive a response within 60 days which it is almost now in oct.I am anxious to find out now.thanks

Hi we submitted our waiver july 11, 2014, and recieved the notification for the rfe on october 20, 2014. I have never heard of a boiler plate before. Have you tried contacting uscis yourself? Also, if you dont mind, on the notice that you recieved did it say i797 or i797e? Thank you! I am still currentky waiting for the letter.
