Yes, that's right:

http://www.thedailybeast.com/articles/2014/10/21/isis-video-america-s-air-dropped-weapons-now-in-our-hands.html

Here's a parachute with all the goodies and our neighborhood ISIS beneficiary in Kobani, Syria:

Now here is the White House saying the exact opposite of what it is doing:

“We feel very confident that, when we air drop support as we did into Kobani… we’ve been able to hit the target in terms of reaching the people we want to reach,” Rhodes told CNN. “What I can assure people is that, when we are delivering aid now, we focus it on the people we want to receive that assistance. Those are civilians in need. Those are forces that we’re aligned with in the fight against ISIL [the government’s preferred acronym for ISIS], and we take precautions to make sure that it’s not falling into the wrong hands.”

This stupid narcissism of the USA - thinking we're the world police, and that all we have to do is drop bombs and weapons from the air to solve civil wars in places we can't even remember the names of...

it defies what our eyes are seeing. Just get out of the Middle East.

Get. Out.

It's not unlike the narcissism of American liberals, who think all they have to do to solve problems in parts of the country they don't know, much less understand, is start a new government program and drop a ton of money on people.

Didn't they learn anything from the French at Dien Bien Phu, 60 years ago?

Actually they did, as anyone who has seen a C-130 perform a Khe Sanh approach, developed in the same part of the world in 1968, can tell you.

Has the USAF decided the risk of ground fire outweighs the risk of gifting materiel to the other side, or are they putting too much faith in technology and just getting lazy?

I guess this is one way to divert us from the imbecilic actions of our government.

We spent $26 BILLION training and arming the Iraqi police and military. ISIS has the weapons they confiscated from them, and we are now arming the Kurds, who want an independent state carved out of Turkey, Iraq, and Iran. If ISIS wins, they end up with the weapons we supplied to the Kurds, not just this airdrop.

Even if the Kurds were to wipe out ISIS, they would then logically establish Kurdistan, which we will then fight with Turkey. That's whose tanks that we purchased are sitting on hills over Kobani watching ISIS and the Kurds kill each other off.

We have no brains at.
