It takes about 3 to 4 months is the usual wait. I personally would be emailing them. They have the kits at embassy so no need to delay.

Since your husband has been swab the embassy will call you in. They will swab the children and send their kits to the lab in US. Once everything is analyzed results are sent back to embassy and they will call you back in to give you results and approve Visas.

I know a few who went through this and you must get on the embassy constantly to remind them or your kit so sit there for months for no reason.

Let me see if I can get a friend of mine who went through Lagos to come and answer you.

I was reporting to you what others through Lagos experience. If you want to read specifics you can use the advance search its all there there are a few cases that has happened since 2012. All reporting what I just told you.

Here did the search for you. Go here and see all the lists of threads about DNA tests.

wow that's cool Lagos. dwheels does Accra have something similar to the Lagos DNA threads???

I have no idea. You would have to put in advance search. But DNA testing is done same at all embassy. You select which lab in US from their sheet. They have beneficiaries get swabbed after the petitioner is swabbed and off they go to the lab in US and results are sent back.

You have to be on it and stay on top of the embassy because theyy will drag it out so be diligent and bug the heck out of them.

It's usually a 3 to 6 month process

Not necessarily. Its not always about evidence but making sure these are the beneficiaries children or the petitioners children. It depends who they are asking to swab. It's not always the traveling parent that is asked for DNA.

Evidence proving relationship has nothing to do with "Are these your children".
