Circumstances for Processing Center Transfer

Hi Everyone,

I received my NOA1 for my I-130 Petition for my Husband on July 31, 2014. I live in California but our case was sent to the Nebraska Service Center which, just my luck, looks like the slowest of them all. It looks like they are THREE months behind California in their processing times. Is there anyway to get our case transferred to California? If not, what are the circumstances that cases generally do get transferred over? I'm just wondering. Thanks!

***Moved from IR-1/CR-1 Progress Reports to USCIS Service Centers forum; topic is about service center operations.***

**Moderator hat off**

There is nothing you can do to facilitate a transfer. USCIS would have to do so on their own for their own reasons.

petitioner lives in nevada, our case sent to texas when we understood it should have gone to csc.

just accept your case is received, and that nsc has, in the past, transferred petitions when they're swamped. don't recall texas doing this.

find something to keep yourself occupied.....you've got a long wait ahead.

btw, i want to retire in belize ;)
