Hello everybody!!

For those of you who have gone through he K1 visa process in Ciudad Juarez consulate, I called today and they have my case which is amazing!! It arrived on the 26th. They told me that they only have my address registered to send me the letter but not my fiancés'. I am honestly in shock and very disheartened. I want them to send my fiancé the letter because I know he will receive it first in the U.S so that we can schedule an appointment ASAP.

Has anybody gone through this same situation? Did they tell you that but your fiancée still received the letter? Please help me.

Thank you sooooo much for your kind help.

You can review this thread http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/514277-waiting-on-interview-letter-from-juarez/ and maybe instant message the person who was recently there and got the letter at the consulate.

Philippians 4: 6-7. "Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus."

Hi! When my fiancé's case was received in CDJ, they told us that he would be getting the letter, but he never did. We went ahead and scheduled the appointment, and he was able to request the letter at the help window (I'm not sure if that's what it is called).

Hope this helps! Good luck! :)

In our case, me, the petitioner, received the letter about 10 days after Juarez received the case. My wife's arrived at my sister's address in Leon, GTO about 3 months later, she was in the states and we were already married by then. Normally they do send a copy to the petitioner's addres, I don't see why they wouldn't have the address, its on all the forms that cotains petitioner's information... I-129F and G-325A.

However, you can go the day you arrice to the help window and ask for a copy.

Thank you everybody. Thank you for your advice and wisdom. I have called 5 times this week and every single person has told me different information. Only one of them said that my fiancé will receive the letter but she said that he won't get it until we move forward and fill the DS-160 and set an appointment.

We are praying to know what to do and how to move forward. As a matter of fact, many people have printed the letter there but it's still scary to take the risk and go without a letter,...

Thank you so much for your insight. We are so looking forward to being together.

Calling Juarez gets you different answers because they give out misinformation all the time.

Call the NVC to get your CDJ case#, if you did not get it when calling Juarez.

Juarez will send the USC and the beneficiary in Mexico a letter. If the only one that receives it is the USC, it can be mailed or scanned and emailed and printed out by the beneficiary in Mexico. It does not have to be the original. The letter you receive points you to the sites where the instructions, forms and place to schedule your appointment and interview is. The letter is the only 'packet' you will receive.

You do not have to wait for the letter to begin filling out forms and scheduling appointments. The letter will be needed by the K-1 applicant at their ASC, medical and interview in Juarez, along with the confirmation page from the DS-160. if you do not receive it before going to Juarez, you can get the letter printed out from the information window at the consulate before going to your medical and appointments.

If you want to allow Juarez time to send you the letter, then wait a couple weeks, then schedule your appointments for a few weeks down the road. That should give you a month or more to receive it. If you still did not, then you really can get one printed out at the consulate's info window.

Here are the forms: http://ciudadjuarez.usconsulate.gov/fianceforms.html ,

instructions (very important to follow and they explain a lot): http://photos.state.gov/libraries/ciudadjuarez/231771/PDFs/k1k4dec13.pdf ,

schedule interview and ASC: http://mexico.usvisa-info.com , and

CDJ info: http://www.visajourney.com/consulates/index.php?ctry=Mexico&cty=Juarez

While waiting, you can read through the reviews to see how the procedure works and what documents were needed by others applying for a K-1: http://www.visajourney.com/reviews/index.php?cnty=Mexico&cty=&dfilter=5

NOTE> Please be aware that the instructions have not been updated since the visa processing fee went up. It is no longer $240. It is now $265. I believe it will tell you the current fee on the website where you pay.

Hi Tavotevi,

I see you have now the case number and invoice :-)

Check it here: https://ceac.state.gov/CEACStatTracker/Status.aspx?eQs=o/iS8zDpeAKjMWCuebHqOw==

If it says transit it means it has not reached the embassy, if it says ready, they received it.

Good luck!

Tavotevi,

Look at the US embassy in Mexico info here:

http://www.visajourney.com/consulates/index.php?ctry=Mexico&cty=Juarez

Look at the link for what to do next, I dont know if it is true that the embassy will cancel the petition, not sure it is true. Read the link and try to see what you need to do next after the embassy receives it, like completing form ds160 etc... I am not familiar with the process in Mexico. For Peru I emailed the embassy and requested an electroniv copy of the appt letter and instructions before the interview and they emailed it within one day. I think it is different for each country so read and contact tje embassy. Good luck!!
