Help my K1 same sex visa was denied

she was denied obviously, but it was for a 3 week vacation from my job in Manila.

i think your right,the CO said the dates didn't match up.. we have been together for 8 years but this was in 2010. so the dates didn't match,

but the visa said she was "acting as a nanny" while I traveled for work.Not that she WAS my nanny.. as I had one in Manila.

I will hope my lawyer can figure it out.

"nanny" is the word they use in the Philippines. I could not say stay with OUR child, while I was working. The Philippines is like a prison to get anyone out one must use their terminology.

I don't get what you mean by the dates didn't match up. If there were discrepancies with dates on both applications then that is not good.

To your earlier question, a 221g is a letter your fiance would have received after the interview stating the reason (though vague)

for refusal.

B2's can't work....nanny is a nanny. What do you mean by 'their terminology'.

I agree with Ebunoluwa - you did not convince them that your relationship is real. Try to request a second interview right away through a senator, or refile (or marry and file for spousal visa). Either way, bring overwhelmingly convincing proof of bonafide relationship this time. Good luck.

Please show me a thread where a K1 was reaffirmed within the past few years.

Spousal visas get reaffirmed but not K1's.

CSC never reaffirms K1's anymore and Vermont used to to it very sparingly but that was years ago.

Show me a thread and I stand corrected.

Lots of peole get a B1/B2 denied and that does not create a pattern.

I am sure it was hot topic before here. Their petition was sent back to USCIS and the couple decided to get married. But, they were confused after they received notification that their petition was reaffirmed and sent back to the embassy. You can use search tools on VJ. It was happened not long time ago. And my memory was clearly remember the post.

Of course the denial of B1/B2 visa is not affected of K-1 visa application. I was denied B2 visa before just because I had a relationship with an American man ( my now husband). I stated that I wanted to visit my boyfriend and the CO suggested to filed I-129F. You have only seen the denial but what a caused of denial. And if I were a CO I would think that why suddenly the relationship changed before and after DOMA was stuck down and a beneficiary applied to work as a nanny in the US.

When she applied for B2 visa?

Did she apply B2 visa to work as a nanny in the US while she was in relationship with you or no?

What did she put on her application? Did she mention your name?

Who are you asking and what is a re presentation ? If you mean misrepresentation then that means something was misrepresented, lied about

in the petition/application.

no they never said mis-presention, it was just "not a bonafide relationship"
