How do I find out if my file was shipped to NVC?

Hello! Any news from NVC?? My fiance is out of the country on a business trip so he won't be able to call for a few more days, but I was wondering if you already have :)

I've called them every day since my NOA2, but it's not reached there. Every day they tell me to wait 5 weeks -- as if they would, if it was their form!

It does not have to be the petitioner - you can call, too [i'm assuming you're the beneficiary. I am.]. All you need is your file number from TSC (SRCxxxxxxxxxx).

Good luck, and keep us posted if you have any updates.

I definitely will! Please do post here if you have any updates!

What do you use to call them? It's really expensive and considering they make you wait for 30 or more minutes on line, I don't know if it would be a good idea to call them from my country :/

I call them from Google (from the chat application inside Gmail). It only costs 1 cent per minute, so even if they keep you waiting for 30 mins (which is the average), you're still only spending 30 cents. Actually, for some weird reason -- which suits me fine -- the calls are even free at times!

Cool! Congrats! I'll call this morning - hopefully they've got mine as well.

From what I see the NVC sends it on to the embassy pretty quickly, so by the end of next week Istanbul (?) should send you a "Case Ready" notification. Exciting!

Yay!!! So happy for you! Did they tell you it got there yesterday? My fiancé waited 40 minute on hold and he will not like it when I ask him to call again today :D

I waited about 40 minutes as well, I think. But for the first time, I didn't mind the wait!! I called from Google, so you can press redial instantly, which makes it a little less of a pain when you get busy tone. Plus, I could work alongside while on wait.

And of course I called the medical guys already in London, but they told me they cannot book an appointment for me until the file gets to London. This is not true at all because lots of people have got their medical done before their case arrived here, so I'm going to call back again later and hopefully will get a more helpful, less officious lady.

You can check the status of your application here on at this site: https://ceac.state.gov

Look under IMMIGRANT visa. Mine says "At NVC" now.

Good luck to you, too! :)

I got approved NOA2 on Sept 3rd. NVC received it on Sept 15th and I got my case # same day but when I called today its still in administrative processing and hasn't been shipped to Embassy. Alittle frustrated. Thought everything was moving quickly.

Oh no! That sucks. Did they say what is holding it up? I have seen files being shipped off to the respective embassies in 2-4 days on average. I can't imagine what administrative processing they might be doing on yours.

Good luck! I hope they move it soon.

Yeah I know. 2 to 4 days has been the average that I have seen. The guy claims it's a normal process and if there was a problem or something I had to do he would tell me. He just suggested I keep calling back to see if has been sent.

Thanks!!!!??

Hey folks, still waiting 15 days after NOA2.

Just got off the phone with NVC, i was asked my CIS receipt # and the operator told me I should wait 25 business days. I asked if at least they have received the case from USCIS, I was told that they don't know, wait 25 business days lol.

My online status on uscis.gov still does not say the petition was sent to NVC however, the NOA2 hard copy we received says it was on Sept 24, the date of our approval.

I contacted Nebraska directly by email. Stay tuned. More gray hair.
