I heard them talking about this on NPR yesterday. It was a pretty cool story. This stood out "Bush also told VP - and I quote - "We're at war (First name of Vice President) and we're going to find out who did this and we're going to kick their (butt)"

The Yom Kippur thing caught my attention. Like, really? Why was THAT such a big deal?

You don't think its a little shocking that they thought these guys actually had people on board? That statement has a degree of certainty to it.

"they thought" probably with the same degree of certainty with which "they thought" there was a sniper at the end of the runway.

in a crisis situation, you don't introduce controls against risk only after there is credible evidence that the risk is high enough. you just do it, because it could happen, is consistent with the pattern of events already observed and because the cost of exposure to the risk far outweighs the cost of the control.

What's the purpose of Fleischer doing that in Twitter form? I stopped reading about halfway through, I can't stand reading Tweets. Would be nice to see that in a regular format.

It's a re-enactment of what 9/11 would have looked like on 9/11 had he had Twitter back then.
