My fiancé was petitioned two years ago for a K1 visa, and the petition was denied. I'm in the process of filling out our G235a and I-129F, which both require me to enter his alien registration number.

From what I have read, an alien registration number is assigned and indicated on the NOA1. Ideally we'd pull this number from the NOA1 from his previous petition, but he is no longer in contact with his former fiancé, and does not have a copy of the NOA1 or NOA2 from the previous petition.

My questions are:

1. Do we need to hunt this number down somewhere and is there a way to track down the A# for our G325A and I-129F without any of the USCIS notifications from the previous petition?

2. If we are unable to find his A#, should we leave the spaces on our petition that request the A# blank? Write unknown?

Please - any and all information you can provide would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you!

We do have copies of the letters he received from the embassy in Kingston following his interview. Following his interview he received a letter indicating that the interviewing officer was not presented with adequate information to prove their intent to marry. The petition was sent back to USCIS, and the petitioner was notified she could provide more information for additional review. However, she did not provide information and a subsequent letter was sent to my fiancé indicating that no new information was presented and that the petition was thusly revoked.

We are prepared to present these letters, if necessary.

Since writing this, we have been in contact with the former fiancé who has indicated that the noa did not contain an alien number. Is this possible? Don't all noa's have alien numbers on them?

I have had similar experience where i had been filed for 4 years ago prior to new filing,i didn't fill in the alien registration number on the G25A & I129F form..i left it blank.when my husband (then fiance) and i receive our NOA2 it had an alien registration number.I still had all the copies of paperwork from the previous filing and there was the alien registration number on it which is the same one USCIS assign me to.

So what am saying is that your fiance is already in the system,so even if you leave it blank they will give him the very "SAME" alien registration number and not a new one.it is his for life just like a SSN.
