Aka whistle less.

“If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles. If you know yourself but not the enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat. If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will succumb in every battle.”

People get attacked so they should all carry a gun... Out of the fear that it might happen.

Madness.

I agree that would be as stupid as

Seat Belts

Air Bags

Fire extinguishers

Survival kits

First Aid Kits

All those pesky AED's all over everywhere.

Stupid right ?

I don't buy those as comparable analogies. Unless of course you think a person shouldn't leave the house unless they are kitted up with all those things. And a parachute for good measure - you forgot to include that.

Short answer - yes I think it is stupid.
