Today (8/29), I just sent off all the required forms and evidence for Form I-751 (petition to remove conditional status) via overnight priority express mail. The package will arrive tomorrow, 8/20, which is a Saturday. At the very latest, it will be received by Tuesday, 9/2 because of the holiday weekend.

My wife's green card expires next Thursday, 9/4. My concern is that we are very close to that expiration deadline and at the VERY end of our 90-day window. The package will be postmarked 8/29 and will arrive prior to the 9/4 deadline, on 9/2 at the latest.

Do I have cause for concern that there may be a delay between the package arriving and it being considered "Received"? Could our filing be considered late?

I realize I could have saved a lot of stress doing this much, much earlier. Any insight is appreciated.

They will backdate the NOA1 to the day it was received at the Center. But, that might take a while. I wouldn't worry too much, though. Good luck.

~Inquiry about ROC process, not AOS-related~

(organizer hat off)

Our ROC filing window opened on 22 Aug 2014, we spent last weekend copying and assembling our packet, well in advance of my wife and stepson's conditional GC expiration on 19 Nov 2014.

We 2-day Priority Mailed our ROC packet to the CSC on 25 Aug. We have USPS delivery confirmation on 27 Aug. Today, USCIS initiated an electronic check transfer for the ROC fee amount. Due to the holiday weekend, we are hoping to receive our official NOA soon. YMMV.

Hopefully you will be okay.

Good luck on your immigration journey.
