6 Month Delay on Green Card

6 posts in this topic

Recommended Posts

Anyone else receive a letter stating that their green card processing is delayed due to delays not related to thier case? I have my employment authorization, my AP was refused due to an old form, and i was just going to wait on my gc to come, but..since it is delayed for that much longer I resent the AP forms so I can go see my kids at Christmans. I haven't seen them since I left almost 9 months ago.

The joys of waiting.

You do not have to give any reason for wanting/needing the AP when filed with a pending I-485. Part 4 is not filled out and no extra statement of explanation needs to be included either.

You are welcome. Yes, the form is fairly easy since when filing for AP as an adjustment applicant, you skip a lot of the form. The example form here on VJ may help too. http://www.visajourney.com/examples/INS-Form-I-131.pdf
