Nerves, excitement, and anxiety....OH MY!

I don't know which feeling is more overwhelming, the nervousness about the interview, or the excitement that I get to see Craig and I haven't seen him in 3 months. I am for sure, trapped in a glass case of emotion.

Tomorrow I fly to Seattle, drive to Vancouver to pick up Craig from the Vancouver Airport. Wednesday is medical. Thursday at 10:00am is the dreaded interview.

I feel good about our evidence and paperwork. I've gone over it three million times and have a hard time imagining how they could come up with a denial, but alas, I'm too jaded to think ourselves into the clear. I'm actually much more calm and much less nervous than I thought I'd be. I thought by this point I'd be huddled in the fetal position in the corner asking for my Mommy. But nope, I'm still a fully-functioning (albeit on edge) member of society. Actually, out of everything, I find myself worried the most about Craig's flight. It's his first time flying and I want it to be a GREAT experience for him, especially since he'll be flying alone.

All-in-all, we are going to make Vancouver a great trip. We factored in some extra days after the interview to visit his family, sight-see, and just enjoy being together and exploring a city we've never seen. We've already scoped out some good restaurants (with good beer lists) that we're for sure taking trips to.

So, I'll catch you guys on the flip side. And it better be with visa in hand.

Good luck for an easy interview in Vancouver. The interview is way less stressful that you think and you'll be surprised when it's all over. The worst part is the waiting (and the lack of easily accessible bathrooms!!!!).

You should definitely take a walk in Stanley Park (or at least a drive if the weather is poor). It's also nice to take a ride on Sky Train and to walk around the Lonsdale Quay. As for restaurants, there are so many great places to eat, can't think of any one specific place right now to recommend.

Downtown Vancouver shopping is a great experience too.

Hope the weather is sunny for you because it's so much more beautiful with sunshine than rain!!!!

just wanted to wish you luck for the interview and throw out a restaurant suggestion for you to celerate:

It's called Seasons in the Park (http://www.vancouverdine.com/seasons/home.html) and is on top of a hill in Queen Elizabeth Park, you have a beautiful view over the city!

If you go and there's a barkeeper with glasses and a little beard (goatie?) and his name is Benny, say hi from me- he's a good friend of mine

Cass, you're a control freak like me, which means you're overly prepared, as I was, and you'll have a successful interview, just as we did. So here's a thought: stop checking the documents, because there comes a point where your mind turns to mush and you forget everything you know. Trust yourself!

Also, forget about Craig and his first flight. It's out of your hands!

Plan something easy for the rest of the day after the interview, because you'll be in shock, a daze, a fog. And you won't realize how much you've had to drink!

This journey is a very emotional experience, and when you finally get to the finish line, you'll O.D. on happiness. It's the best part about being a maniacal control freak! Good luck!

Vancouver is a beautiful city ! You should go check out Granville island and Gastown (The Old Spaghetti Factory) .. there is so much to see it's hard to think of just a few things. The aquarium is kewl if your into that ... a hike up Grouse Mountain ( or a skyride ) .....an IMAX @ Canada place and next door @ the Pan Pacific the resturaunts have killer food and a beautiful view of the water .. The Capilano Suspension Bridge is awesome and the art gallery .. ect ect ect .. Great place to explore ! Good luck @ the interview ..
