Is it possible to apply for EAD (I already have social ins. number) without applying for AOS (we're going to do the green card part too)?

I am doing this.

You want to go back to Canada for immigrant visa. That should be better than having to deal with USCIS.

Although there is no guaranty that the embassy people would be more helpful. I hope they are...

Don't you have like 2 years before you have to AOS? I have read of people who did EAD only and than panicked a few weeks before the 2 years were up that they hadn't adjusted. Wonder how they feel about this during AOS interview...... hmmmmmmmmm
