I'm waiting 2 weeks before I call. So that will be on 8-26-2014.

Edit: I just sent all my documentation to Betty today so she has it for her interview.

You would receive a Text/E-mail stating you have a last update at the USCIS case status: When you check the status, it should say something like this:

Post Decision Activity

On August 13, 2014, we shipped this approved or re-affirmed case to the Department of State for visa processing. For more information, please contact them directly.

My apologies but I thought this is what NOA2 is. That's what my NOA2 says. Are you saying that it's possible that some have NOA2's without this wording?

No, on my NOA2 Hardcopy it says some like it has been shipped to the listed consulate. Which is not true. You MAY or MAY NOT receive a last update stating that your case has been shipped to NVC/DOS. When I did not receive that, i was freaking out. That just made me want to contact people from USCIS to help my case to go to the next round. I've seen those cases who filed same day as me or even days after that it took them less than a week for it to go to NVC. So,finally after 20 days..It did.

I was happy when i finally received the USCIS case update stating it.

OK, so just to be clear, they shipped it without your intervention? Because you can't make them ship it right? All you call for is just to get the Case #?

On the NOA2 Hardcopy that my fiance (the petitioner) received through mail says : Forwarded to the listed consulate. It says that on every NOA2 Hardcopy..but that's just a copy/paste thing..that doesn't mean it actually was shipped to the consulate..every case has to go through NVC..Everyone was happy about their case been shipped to NVC, but i did not receive my notification the first few days..so after 19 days of me not receiving a case updated on the USCIS website.I sent a message to SCOPSCATA and TSC..which i received a reply..and same day they shipped my case to the NVC..Because, i received the text/message that it has been shipped after 20 days...Yes, after they receive our case NVC/DOS..All we do is call to get the case # because they won't actually contact you..I read someplace that they mail you a letter about your case been received..idk about it though..

The Department of State is NVC.

Edit: It sounds like something went wrong in your case.

Additional edit: You would now have seen anything on the USCIS website after NOA2 because in the hard copy they specifically state that all further inquiries should be directed to NVC.
