HI everyone! Just wanted to know who else is waiting for their green card and received the letter that green card applications are getting delayed? We applied for my green card last Feb 27. I already had my biometrics last March 24 and we received a letter dated June 5 stating that we might not need to go through the interview process, but that the process is getting delayed and we should not expect the green card for at least SIX more months! I plan on going back to school and I can't qualify for any scholarships and grants until I have my green card...Wondering if anybody else is in the same boat? I checked the processing times for LA, and the processing timeframe is November 26, 2013...funny thing is when I checked the processing time last week it said they're on December 2013...funny how it moved back a whole month. :|

The process will not necessarily be delayed by exactly six months. It can be longer (happens rarely) or shorter (happens frequently). I got that letter last year and got my GC approved two months after receiving it.

We received the "potential interview waiver" letter on March 12, 2014. Our AOS was approved August 7, 2014. So it was approved in a little less than 5-months after receiving that letter. No Interview. Hang in there guys and good luck.

Checked the thread, wow, I really hope some of them get their gc's especially the ones who have been waiting for more than 12 months! I should consider myself lucky then. Congrats on receiving your gc and good luck on the next step!
