I want to pay my husbands green card fee online. I am logging into the system and it tells me "You must have a profile on ELIS before you can pay a fee" so on the CREATE A PROFILE link it starts with choosing from one of two options: "Attorney" or "Accredited Organization". I am neither. I chose "AC" but then it was asking for the name of my organization.

I just want to pay the fee! Please help???

I believe you are at the wrong place those two options aren't there when I go.

What step are you on. There's

  1. setting email account
  2. Confirm email
  3. setup password
  4. choose security profile
  5. Personal Identity Questions
  6. Secure Pin
  7. Account Activated

When you click on Create Profile what did you select for "Select Account Type"?

1. Applicant

2. Legal Representative

3. Document Library Manager

I did an address update on ELIS. For some reason it has that I have used another name but that name is the same as my one and only name.

It seems like a database glitch to me. If I were to correct it, ELIS expects me to upload a biographical document (I suppose to support the 'name change')

I don't have any document to prove I've only had one name. Someone entered the data incorrectly or the system had an error.

Is it worth getting the problem fixed by calling USCIS?

Has anyone heard of an ELIS problem like this?

Any likely problems if I just leave it?

Obviously I have only had one name, especially if my 'other name' in ELIS is the exact same.
