Good morning everybody :)

So, my question is not important, it's really to understand what the different packages are ^^

I've had my NOA2 and am at the Embassy stage.

I did receive a letter with instructions (where I can take my doctor appointment, DS160 & DS230 part I to file, etc...) but I only had to send back the confirmation page of the DS160 and the DS230 part I.

... is this package 3? If so, what are the packages 1 and 2? The NOAs?

I will not get an interview date until I send them my checklist signed stating that I have all the documents ready.

..looks like I don't have to send anything.. what is package 4?

Is it always like this or it depends on the country the embassy is in?

If so, I may have to add this to the page of my Embassy

Thank you a lot! And I wish you all a nice day :)

Every Embassy/Consulate is different.

I only ever received an email which was Packet 3 - I never received any Packet 2 or 4, and never anything in the actual mail. It was all done via email until I received my Visa by courier.

The email stated my interview date and I was instructed to take my checklist and documents to the interview.

I was confused at the time, as I thought I was missing Packets and maybe important information, as the details on VJ at the time stated that I should receive all the Packets - I don't know if their process changed?

Like I said, every Embassy/Consulate is different.

I hope someone more experienced can advise you further - I just wanted to share my experience with you.

Good luck! :)

My NOA 1 has a notice date of 11June 2014 from TSC. The USCIS website states; on June 16, 2014, your Alien Registration Number was changed relating to your I129F, PETITION FOR FIANCE(E). Does this mean my case has been transferred? What does Alien Registration Number changed mean?

Good morning guys
