Why is the law not changed to issue divorce papers when a spouse dies?

I was thinking about this and it seems clear to me that when a spouse dies, the law should use the death certificate to issue a divorce certificate based on DEATH of one of the spouses. Is it not cruel to keep asking for a death certificate to prove one can re-marry? It keeps reminding the surviving spouse that your spouse is dead. And keeps reminding the new spouse-to be (fiancee) that you are about to marry a 'used' spouse who would still be married if the previous spouse did not die.

Why are you asking a stupid question like that are you planning to kill one of your troll spouses lol. This guy needs help lol.

just how many spouses can a troll have anyways?

Henry VIII had 6 wives...although something tells me he didn't have internet access, nor was he a troll...the pictures tell a different story of course! :P

Partly right:

  • Internet not even conceptual until 19TH century (when AG Bell invented phone)
  • Crazy Henry had one wife at a time (two divorces, two put-to-death, one died-in-childbirth who he considered his "only true wife", last survived; the total of six)
  • As to whether he was a troll, there is some evidence that he occasionally did go outside in sunlight (trolls can't do this, they turn to stone); though personality-wise, different story

Personally, I would rather have a death certificate than a divorce certificate (in the event of my husband's death.. Obviously, I would never want that to happen... but..) To me a divorce certificate would say that we didn't stay true to our vows ("Till death do you part") That's just the way it seems to me... definately wouldnt want a divorce certificate...

Well I can understand why Matako would want divorce papers rather than a death cert. I would also if my wife looked like his.

Here is a pic of Matako's wife:
