I applied for AOS and submitted applications for EAD, AP and AOS at the same time with a cheque for $1070. I received notices for AP and AOS saying they were accepted and are being processed but my EAD application was returned saying it has been rejected due to me not signing some where (I feel SO stupid) and an incorrect fee. What does it mean by incorrect fee?

I will try and re-do the paper work today and resubmit it, but do I now have to pay for it separatley with a new cheque just for EAD or is it still included in the AOS package which is now processing?
I feel so stupid forgetting to sign one place, I looked over the form so many times. But I suppose that's just life!

Fill out the forms again and include photos etc etc and enclose a copy of your NOA1 for AoS and the fee should be waived again. I would accompany it with a covering letter saying what happened. I would also tell them the case number for AP as it's a combo card you get so they're linked otherwise you may end up with 2 cards or bits of paper. i think that should work but if anyone knows different please speak up.

I would also re-do it as advised by Nobbie, including a detailed cover letter with info of your I-485 and I-131 receipt numbers, a copy of the NOAs, and the I-765's required documentations.

Also, make sure that you write ( c ) (9) as your category, so they won't mistake your I-765 as applying under a different visa type and won't charge you a separate fee.

Here's the example form for your reference: http://www.visajourney.com/examples/INS-Form-I-765.pdf

I believe "incorrect fee" is a standard rider on their boilerplate rejection notice. Usually the rejection notice will state something like "rejected due to not signing or an incorrect fee was paid".
