So the IO didn't know a thing about the work stamp for my honey, he said you have to appy for AOS, duuh I knew that..so how else can I get my honey to start working? Do I now have to solely depend on AOS now..he just wants to do something to make him feel he's helping out...Anyone have any ideas!!!

There is no more work stamp for K1 visa

You have to apply for EAD before he could start working

Filing for EAD together with AOS is free.

Merrytooth, really I didn't know this..OK we will go ahead and apply through EAD then, thank you for your quick response. I was about to tell him dude u don't know what you are talking about!!! LOL

I see that your wedding day is 10.4.2014?

I might suggest you guys get married asap (simple civil marriage first), prepare the AOS/EAS/AP package and sent it off.

Then have your wedding ceremony on later date (10.4.2014).

This way, you will get the EAD and start work sooner.

Done with K1, AOS and ROC

Thanks Merrytooth, that makes so much sense, waiting until October to get married and then another three months for EAD to get approved, he will be pulling his hair out by then and probably so will I..I think we are going to do this..thanks again!!!

He could apply for a ss card with k1 visa while waiting also.
