My husband just got a reckless driving citation in NC with court date in september. Lawyer says he should be able to have it dismissed no problem. We filed for AOS in january and are waiting to hear from that. Does anyone know what this will mean for our immigration? Will my husband get deported? We are scared to death. There was an accident, no one got hurt and it was actually the other persons fault but he got a reckless driving ticket too.

Thank you for your advice. I just have one question there was an accident so does that change things? And by excluded this means they dont' care about them, Right? Sorry i'm being so picky, i just want to make sure i understand you. Thank you again for your response i really apprciate it!!!!

you have to commit a crime. traffic violations are excluded. now DUI, VEHICULAR MANSLAUGHTER and the like are not traffic violations. traffic accidents happen everyday someone gets blamed to decide whose insurance pays.speeding is reckless driving and a violation with a heavy fine. follow advice of lawyer.

No one's getting deported for accidents..thats Y its called accident (not willful)

Just a quick correction, a reckless driving charge implies that the behavior was not accidental, i.e. the person was willfully speeding or following too closely, etc.

3/2/18  E-filed N-400 under 5 year rule

3/26/18 Biometrics

7/2019-12/2019 (Yes, 16- 21 months) Estimated time to interview MSP office.
