My visa application has been approved already. My fiance and i are now trying to get an appointment for the interview but it's been so difficult to set an appointment because there's no slots available yet. We are hoping to get an appointment at the end of this month or on July but we fear we can't.

My fiance is a retired military and he is currently working as an aviation technician. He's been working for 6 years now but he will be losing his job on August because it's already the end of their contract.

If ever i could get an interview by the time he lost his job would that be a hindrance for me to get my visa approved?

Eagerly wanting to hear advice about this concern...

Thank you in advance and have a good day everyone.

“...Isn't it splendid to think of all the things there are to find out about? It just makes me feel glad to be alive--it's such an interesting world. It wouldn't be half so interesting if we knew all about everything, would it? There'd be no scope for imagination then, would there?”

Sit down together and work out how much income he has (currently and if he loses his job) to see if it meets the 100% requirement. If he doesn't have a job, they might ask more questions about his other income and/or assets, just be prepared with evidence that he has enough (income/assets) to support you through AOS.

My fiance is an army vet and has income from his pension plus disability benefits. He's also currently a student, so not working. I also have my own savings, proof of which I brought with me to the interview. I was concerned about how they'd view an application based mainly on assets rather than income, and it was fine in the end - they asked more questions, but we were still approved and I picked up the visa the other day. That said, I went through London/UK and they might do things slightly differently in the Philippines.

Since you've got an approved petition (NOA2), head over to the Philippines forum:

http://www.visajourney.com/forums/forum/129-philippines/

There are lots of people who have been through the process you're going through and they'll be able to give you more specific advice about preparing for the interview and what to bring with you. They'll also be able to give you tips on how to get an appointment.

Good luck!
