We are filing for CR-1 visa, Do I need another NBI for my maiden name?

I should have pushed the lady at nbi when i told her i need it to be under my husbands name and she said they need it to be in my maiden name."sigh" good thing i still have 3 weeks before the interview coz i have a namesake

Okay, to be safe, I think it is better to include my maiden name in the AKAs...

I had to get my NBI clearance twice because the first one didn't have my AKA maiden name. When I went there to for the second one, I put the AKA and the girl there said that I had to pay extra/not allowed. I explained to her that I just needed both my married name and maiden name explicitly seen on the clearance and they let me do it. I was only able to submit the first one to NVC so I'll be bringing the 2nd one with me to the interview.

I have a friend whos having an interview last week shes cr1 too, her nbi format was not showing any Aka, coz its still shows her maiden name and married name, the same format u have and all went well for her.

This is good to know as I am for CR1 too but I guess it all depends on the CO .I called the iv unit and was told to get the nbi with aka just in case.LOl so i already have like 4 travel to usa clearances here haha

Sometimes the people issuing the NBI clearance don't know what to do in certain situations bec they've never encountered it before. You have to insist that it's whAt the embassy requires.

This is what im talkin about. It clearly states "Family Name" which means your maiden surname then there's the box for your married surname (husband's surname) )

On my first clearance the hisband's surname was just written there but there was no aka so I got another one with aka which was my married name. We got married in the us and I have no plans of reporting the marriage at the ph embassy.

(father's surname) de (married surname), (first name) y (mother's maiden surname)

This is the correct format. I also got this for my NBI using my married name.

There's no need to get one with AKA for maiden name because the FULL MAIDEN NAME IS ALREADY SHOWN.

AKA will only be needed for name corrections on the birth certificate or for previous married names.

Just an update guys,I went home almoat weeping today.Got up at 4 am to go to the NBI office here in the province.I explained my situation everything that I can think of.I even showed them the clearance I got last month.They would not do the aka here unless I have/had spelling correction and discrepancies in my birth certificate.I talked to their boss and he said for them to do it,they need the letter from the USem requesting for it (which I dont have).I tried calling the main nbi office in Manila and it keeps routing me to a hold music then ivr again even if i press 0 for operator (listened for about 3 mins,nothing) So i sent them an email hopefully they reply,most govt agencies in Manila do.Called the iv unit.Cant get through.I dont like stress,its our wedding monthsary after all.Haha
