I'm getting ready to assemble my IV packet for NVC stage while waiting for our case number.

We are filing for CR-1 visa, do I need to get two NBIs? One under married name, and another for my maiden name? I also have read questions about AKAs, how does it work?

Btw, I have never been married before my present marriage.

No, just one. When u fill up the nbi form there's a box there where u can put your husband surname.

When you are filling out the NBI request there is a "box" that states "AKA / Other Name" this is where you will put all your names you have ever used; married, single, nicknames or any other names that you have ever been associated with. If do not present all your names in your NBI it could delay your process.

You do not get an NBI in your maiden you request an NBI in your married name with an AKA for other names used and list your maiden name. You will see on the form a place for AKA

Nbi clearance is in your maiden name coz the form will be asking for your father's surname. Then there's a box for your husband's surname. No need to worry.

Her nbi clearance will show both her maiden and married name. Thats what im saying. I just got my nbi clearance last week, thats why i know.

The nbi clearance application form clearly asks for Family Name (father's surname), given name, middle name then husband's surname (for married women) )

Now this is confusing,I also got my NBI last month and didnt know i had to do the AKA because the NBI form asks for the maiden name AND the Husbands last name.Do i really need to do the AKA?Thanks

When I got my NBI last year, this was the format:

(father's surname) de (married surname), (first name) y (mother's maiden surname)

Is this the correct format?

Dont know if this will help but this is the nbi clearance i got 4 months ago(i was still single then).This clearance has a line for husband's last name in this and both my parents' last names too.The new clearance i got 2 months ago is the same except for my husband's last name added.Wouldnt it be too redundant to put an AKA if it will show exactly the same names as above(below? lol) ?Uh oh i cant upload my nbi,says file is too big.

For the embassy you need an NBI in your married name with an AKA for your maiden name.
