Good evening all,

Just wondering if I can submit my AOS package via email while the AOS fee is still being processed? Will it screw up the process, or should I just be safe and wait until the processing is over.

Thank you

I believe that a barcode sheet is require and it is Available after the AOS fees is shown as PAID. Sending your package without barcode may cause delay, so my suggestion is to wait until it is shown as PAID and then send your AOS package. Good luck!

From their website (http://travel.state.gov/content/visas/english/immigrate/immigrant-process/documents/submit/how-to-submit-documents-to-the-nvc.html) or from our wiki they didn't mention anything about barcode......... But I think you are right, best to wait until the status is paid before I sent out.

The barcode cover sheet is generally available when you pay, not after it shows paid.

However because payment rejections can occur I suggest waiting until after it shows paid or at the very least, the money leaves your bank account.

You are correct about the barcode. I just checked our wiki to confirm. http://www.visajourney.com/wiki/index.php/James's_Shortcuts

Thanks for clarifying.

IF you are doing EP for Guangzhou IV via NVC -

please wait till you have a GZO # issued.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !

so - you not OPT IN, ENROLL into Electronic Processing, but still sent off based on a GUZ number?

I'm sorry - that's gonna delay you a bit.

Suggest you ENROLL into Electronic Processing, wait until a GZO number is issued, then email in.

But - EP is in a state of flux - who knows? your way might work - I know my way worked prior.
