So, we send out our papers June 9th. The I-129F package.

But my fiancé send it in via the mail room. He thought it would be the same as ups. But now we have no track code. And we haven't received our NOA1 yet. I see people here who have gotten theirs already.

Is there any timeframe for this. What can we do if it takes much longer? And we still haven't gotten anything?

Sorry, I don't know what a mail room is, but it may take 30 days for uscis to send the notification. But on the average, people get their NOA1 in 2-3 weeks. A positive indication is when the check is cashed. Once cashed, your fiance will get e-notification within 1-2 days from then if he filled-out a G-1145.

Oh so they cash the check and then send you the notification? I though that came after. Thanks. We will wait some more then.

Aside from notifying the applicant that their application has been accepted by uscis, NOA1 also acts as a receipt with information on what has been paid for this application, and it looks like this: http://www.visajourney.com/gallery/albums/userpics/107150/edited_noa1.jpg

That's why the first NOA comes after they have confirmed the check (payment) is good and has been cashed. :)
