Hello,

I am currently a citizen of US and filled the i130 petition for my spouse in February. Recently, I was laid off from my job and am in process of finding another one. Will this in anyway delay the approval of i130?

I understand the need to have a joint sponsor in the case I do not find another job when submitting the affidavit of support.

Please advise. Thank you.

No it's impossible to delay the I-130.

However you have plenty of time at the NVC. They require you to keep in contact with them once per year. So you could send the DS-261, wait a year, send the DS-260 and IV, wait a year, send the AOS.... Make sense?
