Hey, I'm not the only person who wondered it. Judging by other responses.

The aim of the admin here is to maximise site traffic and while ensuring that the site appears on search engines. Why do you think they should close the sub forum?

If they're going to edit out everyday words that are used in children's books, then it's kind of pointless to have a current events forum. They should make it all about immigration, which is VJ's primary purpose anyway.

Which is one opinion and, if you do not want to participate you can pop off to one of the 'Remove me from the website' threads and announce your departure publicly, that's normally the next step :)

Refusing to use the spellchick!

I have put you on ignore. No really, I have, but you are still ruining my enjoyment of this site. .

They edit out certain words because that content changes how Google views the site.

I imagine that a lot of site traffic comes through the current events forum, it's not in the admins interest to curtail it.

VJ exists for clickies to boost pageview numbers, so ad space can cost more. We're all pawns in a money scheme. This forum makes lots of clickies. The end.

Yeah that's what it comes down to really. I can eventually see posts that look like ##### ##### ###### ###### with a bunch of conjunctions in the middle.

Just expressing an opinion. I know you don't like that.

You do? I am quite happy for you to express your opinion, you don't want to participate because certain words have been redacted. Cool, now off you go an announce the 'big departure'. I always enjoy that.

More comprehension issues I see. You should really stop wasting your time here and sign up for some remedial reading classes. I never even hinted at closing my account or announcing any sort of departure.

I'm sure everyone is relieved that your reputation has been vindicated and that you're here for the foreseeable.

Yay, I am so happy that despite the redactions and the fact that there is no point in participating in this forum and that you would like it to be closed, you are going to continue to participate. Result!
