for people who recently did their interviews, were you asked to bring your spouses birth certificate as well? I read a few months ago the embassy was asking for spouse's birth certificate as well?

I did my interview on Feb 10. I was not asked to bring my spouse's birth certificate, but I brought it anyway because I had read moths back of someone who was asked at the interview for it, but it wasn't on their list of docs to bring.

I brought everything that we submitted to USCIS for the I-130 as well as everything I submitted to NVC. It turns out that was a good thing because the CO asked to see my husband's divorce docs. He did not ask, but made the statement that he saw that we had both been married once before. I corrected him and told him that my husband had been married twice before, and that we had submitted his divorce docs with the I-130. I asked if he would like to see them, and he said yes. I don't know whether he phrased that question the way he did to trick me or what, but I am happy that I had EVERYTHING with me.

My suggestion would be to bring everything you have. Better too much than not enough. Good luck with your interview!

I think the P4 letter's document list mentions to bring proof of Petitioner's status in US, correct? Most of the people asked for petitioner's birth certificate if they were born in US. Carry both birth certificate and copy of petitioner's passport.

They generally ask for this when the petitioner is re-establishing domicile after being out of the US for a certain length of time. But it definitely doesn't hurt to bring everything from the I-130 package. Mine also included a copy of my husband's passport bio page. I am thinking that the P4 letter just wants to cover all the bases. No one wants a 221g, or whatever it is, at the finish line of such an arduous process as this.

it does list it but with code F which is "The NVC did not request this form or document". Ill carry it regardless.

My spouse was actually born outside of USA but moved there when she was 1 years old. We sent her naturilzation cert as proof of residency/citizenship

Same here. Still I would suggest carrying a copy of everything you have sent since i130 stage. You definitely don't want to come back without a visa because of a missing document.

how long does it usually take from in transit status to Ready on CEAC site? Mine has been in transit since February 20th :/

I wish I could tell you. I never saw In Transit on my CEAC, Sometimes I think they are slow to update the site. When is your interview? If you are really getting worried, you can email the Consulate and tell them your concern - especially if you have far to travel.

Thank you. My interview is on the 27th of this month. I will contact them if it doesnt change by the second week of march, just to ensure everything is in order. I am really praying for no more delays in this process lol.

Timeline question: my case is still under review at NVC. Technically, im hitting the 60 days mark on March 20th. Say I dont have any checklist, is it still possible to plan on a POE in late late June, early July? I think it is, but sometimes I think I might be delusional...

lets say you get your approval march 20th-30th, you will get an interview for May. If evernything goes smoothly during your interview, you should easily be able to make your POE in june. This of course is best case scenario without anything going wrong. I hope it doesnt! nvc is hell lol
