Hello everyone! I will be leaving on Monday heading to Colorado. I wonder if how long should I wait for me to travel out from the US going back to the Philippines to visit my family? And at the same time I wanna work for my driving license as well. Anyone here from Colorado? Thanks

Greencard takes like two years before having it, correct?

No, not at all.

Here is the sequence of events after getting the K-1:

Enter the US

Get married

Apply for AOS (including EAD, AP and green card application)

You will most likely receive your EAD/AP combo card first, within 60-90 days of applying. With this you can work, get a drivers license, and travel outside the US.

The green card can take anywhere from 3 months to a year, but most receive it within 6 months of applying

Definitely not 2 years.

its just matter of few weeks, not 2 years

It will not be a few weeks, the OP is on a K1 so GC will take as stated above 3-12 months ish. AP and EAD should be 60-90 days after filing.
