Missing NVC letter

I received my packet 3 from the Embassy today which came as a surprise (yay!!) because we are still awaiting to hear from NVC. We thought that our papers were stuck somewhere. We are actually in the middle of inquiring our case number which we now have, it’s written in the packet 3.

In the NOA2 letter, it says that my fiancé is supposed to receive a letter from NVC that they forwarded our case to the Embassy but it looks like he is not going to receive it? I wanted to ask if that letter is important anywhere in the future process? I think that is the only thing amiss in our application process.

The letter is not important. Sometimes people end up receiving the embassy email before the NVC letter (it happened to me and I also read on other posts). Eventualy I did get the NVC (a week or so after the embassy packet).

No, that letter's not important but make sure your fiance keeps the NOA2 safe, you'll need that for your AOS.

I am also waiting for something from NVC. It has been 3 weeks from NOA2 and no email. I have called NVC and they say they do not have my case yet. I guess it is good to hear that sometimes people hear from the embassy before getting notification from NVC, bc I was beginning to think TSC just lost my papers somewhere.... ugh. I am so done with this whole process already. *poutface

Thank you vanessalga! Maybe our NVC letter is also on it's way but it's a relief to hear that we do not need to wait for it. My fiance is preparing the I-134 supporting documents to be sent to me.

Hi hardrockangel! I am the fiancee and the beneficiary I got the packet 3 thru mail. We received it 3 weeks from NOA2 email notification so you may receive yours from next week too! And yeah, we didn't hear from NVC at all but that's ok as long they have worked on my papers and it's kinda fast, I think.

Hi aruadha!! Aawww, I hope you'll receive your packet 3 soon too! Considering that you are from TSC, the longest and hardest part for you is over!! Congrats on your approval and it's kinda fast as compared to other TSC filers. Based on what I read here, we are now all on the same boat after NOA2 so don't pout It's on its way!!

And an appointment is required as stated in the Embassy website:

I have to warn you though that the appointment wait time for my case took 2 months I just happen to schedule in advance to avoid delays but the fingerprinting at the Embassy is super quick and smooth. Whole process only took me 30 mins.

I've mailed the fingerprint card and authorization letter to my representative and we are still waiting for it to be delivered. I plan to return my packet 3 until I have all the requirements on hand.

Could you please share with me your interview date when you have it and when did you send your packet 3 to them? Just want to plan ahead and I want to know the typical wait time for interview. Thanks so much!! Glad to know there's another Filipino here in Singapore doing the same process.
