Hi all,

My fiance is in Turkey and I have just started the K-1 petition. I have a question about the Biographic Information form. On the top line there is a space for File Number A ___________. However, there is no "For USCIS Use Only" notation. It looks like something they would fill in, but there's nothing in the G-325A Instructions about this.

Can anyone tell me what information they're requesting?? Rather than leave it blank, I typed N/A ... per the I-129F instructions to fill in all questions.

We're not using an attorney for this first phase of the K-1. The forms are straightforward and we have all the documents and "evidence." I'd rather save the money and hire an attorney for the more complicated I-485 Adjustment of Status petition.

Any ideas about the Biographic Information form? Thanks -

Thanks for your fast replies! I'll leave that space blank.

On the I-129F, they ask that both fiance/ee provide an original statement indicating our mutual intent to marry w/i 90 days of receiving the visa. I thought a couple of lines from each of us would do. Does that sound about right?

Seems odd that they'd want written confirmation of our intent to marry when we're already going to the trouble of filing the petition, filling out several forms, collecting documents, sending photographs and receipts, etc. in order to get married.

Never leave anything blank, for the A# you put down NONE.

The statement letter of intent to marry is usually done in this manner (in the list of example forms you'll see the letter of intent). It's how most of us from VJ did it.
