so even the NVC tells you that the estimated time for an approved petition to get to nvc takes up to 5 sometimes. It's been over 6 weeks for us, my fiance called the california service center to find out if they ever sent it off to the nvc yet and people at CSC told him that it takes up to 90 days for the nvc to receive it........

Yes California send approved petitions in batches so if they just sent one it could be 2 months, if you get in at the end of a batch you could be there in a week

We had our approved application sent from Cali to NVC and then to Sydney all with in 14 days. It must depend. I dont think 90 days is standard, I think that is just the time they say to everyone, like that NOA2 will take 5 months...

mine took about 6 weeks too and I was also processed by california service center. dont worry. the bulk of your wait time is over. for the meantime, try to complete the documents you will need for your interview

They give you an outside time so you don't bug them if yours is over the average time. But it could get close to that outside time.

Hi, I called NVC and was given the same timeline - that it takes up to 90 days for them to receive package from USCIS post NOA2. USCIS claims it can take up to 5 months for them to send package to NVC post NOA2. These time frames totally don't make sense - by the time one hits 5 months that package will be obviously lost. I agree with others that USCIS/NVC give these crazy time lines so people don't call every day. It's been 3.5 weeks post NOA2 and I'll give it another 2 to 3 weeks before I start panicking.
