Howdy,

So now that a new process is in place (not needing to send and ENROLL email & waiting for the confirmation email before emailing them docs), has anyone, recently, submitted the docs by email, and successfully received some kind of an "yep, we got your docs and we're gonna be working on them" email ?

I submitted mine last week. spoke to an agent 2 days ago. he told me he doesn't see anything in my file, and asked me to resubmit them because I might be in limbo (with this new process being put in place).

so I did.

Called in again today, and a "nice" lady told me that she can't see anything in my file either. she said I have to wait 30 business days to see if I get any sort of "reply" or acknowledgment that the emails have been received.

I told her that I haven't received an auto-reply when I emailed the docs. she said, "yeah, we kinda stopped sending those".

lovely.

so how on earth would we know that they have received the emails?

to make things more interesting, the new guideline on the state department web site recommends that the total size of the email attachments should not be exceeding 5 MB. however, another agent told me that any email with less than 30 MB of attachment is fine.

so where's the source of truth?

hi there, I haven't filed anything yet, i am in the process about 4-5 weeks behind where i have to get ready to send the paperwork. I iterally asked the question about filing EP on the NVC filer forum. There is at least one person whose screen name is Arthurmarcela that if you se their timeline, where they enrolled for EP, sent their AOS package and got approved even before they got the confirmation email. I don't know if this helps but i think you could ask the same question on the NVC filer forum. You will get quicker replies.

Hi there, we submited our AOS package at the end of last month. We put in the form for email and text message. I didn't receive any email, but i've got the text message says our package was accepted.

I can tell what happened with me. Same boat your in.

Received case number 4/11/14

enrolled in EP 4/11/14

Received email 4/18/14 to fill out I864 and send supporting docs

emailed i864 and supporting docs on 4/22/14 (needed 2013 tax return completed)

Received email 4/29/14 for Canadain wife to fill out DS 261 and send supporting docs

Emailed support ing docs on 5/2/14

At this time AOS,DS 261 fees all show paid.

5/2/14 received checklist asking for IV package and DS 261 docs

5/8/14 received email now enrolled in EP. Are you kidding me !!!!!!!!!! Over thirty days to do that !

SO, If you send anything in before you receive the EP confirmation they will not look at it. Switch is OFF! NVC Operaor confirmed that. Well 2 out of three did,

4/20/14 resent entire i864 and DS 261 package.

One problem is, they are so behind in the emails that you get conflicting information because they are responding to stuff you took care of 3 weeks ago. Very frustrating. Wish you all the luck. Going on 1 year now since I-130.
