DS-160 or DS-156?

My Fiance had his interview today, we had already filled out DS-160 but upon arrival for his interview, the Case Officer had told him you needed to fill out 3 forms (DS-156), Non-immigrant Visa Application and an Alien Registration form.

My Questions are:

1. Why did we have to fill out those form if only DS-160 was listed on our letter to complete and bring a copy?

2. Do you guys know the form number for the other two forms other than DS-156, (what is the form number for Non-immigrant visa form and the alien regirstration form?)

3. He filled those out but does it mean there was a problem?

I would appreciate it if you could help me, I'm nervous...his case went on Application processing, they gave him a blue sheet and said check the website for the status of your visa and congradulations!

I wouldn't be to worried. Same thing happened to me. I went for my interview and I only had the DS160 online confirmation page. So the guy made me fill out the DS156 in duplicate. But my instructions only said DS160. In the end it wasn't really a concern, I was approved.

If the case officer at his interview at the embassy told him TODAY that he needed them, then the DS-160 certainly is NOT the only one you need. At least not at that embassy.

This only concerns me because I worry it'll happen at our embassy too. However, I think if they're turned in already, or when they are turned in, it should be no issue.
