Hi. Please help. I'm currently unemployed and I am petitioning my mom. My husband will be the one to sponsor her. Does anybody know which form do I use? Is it correct to use I-864? Also, how do I file it? Do I email it or mail it? If I should mail it, where do I send it? Thanks in advance!

hi

you are the sponsor regardless. you will fill out the i864, even if you make $0, your husband will file the i864A as household member

NVC will send you instructions to where you have to send the forms and supporting documents

if your a resident or US citizen then you do the app and on the AOS packet I-864 your husband will co-sponsor.

Residents cannot petition for parents, only USC can
