Hi there VJ Friends.

I am pregnant and my expected date of delivery is on September. I would like to know if there's a possibility that

i could bring my mom here before i gave birth?

I have a 10 year green card, arrived here September last year (2013) and is not currently working.

What kind of visa does my mom needs for her to come here and help me out even for just 2-3 months of stay?

Thank you for all the responses.

By the way, mom is living in the Philippines.

And the best thing is being MARRIED to the person you love and accepting that the future will unfold itself while the two of you still bonded by the same word everybody called LOVE. A love that says "Let God be God"

You can't bring her, but she can apply for a tourist visa on her own.

AOS for my husband
8/17/10: INTERVIEW DAY (day 123) APPROVED!!

ROC:
5/23/12: Sent out package
2/06/13: APPROVED!

Congrats for your pregnancy! As harpa has mentioned, she can try for a tourist visa and if granted she can visit up to six months. Read the guides and forums on tourist visa that is PI specific, it will definitely help her to prepare.

You can only petition for her GC once you are a citizen.

Good luck and wishing you a healthy pregnancy.
